Band 6 Clinical Sister

Campion Ward, Leamington Spa.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 Clinical Ward Sister to join Campion Ward - South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate must be flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated and have a minimum of 2 years' ward experience. They need to be able to work as part of a team; demonstrating excellent and proactive leadership skills to support and develop staff/students while also maintaining their own clinical skills. We are looking for someone with a great attitude and work ethic who is committed to creating a positive rehabilitation environment where patients are shown care and compassion; optimising patient independence and quality of life.

Within the role you will be required to work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure best patient outcomes based on individual needs and plan a safe discharge once the patient has reached their potential. This can be a challenge when supporting patients with co-morbidities and complex needs, therefore the post holder will require excellent communication, problem solving and clinical reasoning skills.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will contribute to the development of the ward team and support the Ward Manager in the delivery of a consistently high quality and cost effective service. You will be an autonomous practitioner and work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate, safe, effective, trusted and inclusive care and support for the team and our patients. You will also need excellent clinical skills.

You will be expected to deputise for the Ward Manager as required.
