Job summary

Applications are invited to apply for the post of Specialty Doctor in Trauma and Orthopaedics at Warwick Hospital.

The team is made up of Consultants, Associate Specialist, Specialty Doctors and training Registrars. These positions are supported by Junior and Foundation doctors, an Orthogeriatric Specialty Doctor and also Advanced Physiotherapists, Orthopaedic nurse practitioners and ACPs.

Main duties of the job

The emphasis of this role is to support the Emergency Department with the management and flow of Trauma and Orthopaedic admissions. The role will work closely with the ED team to manage these patients in a timely manner and to support the flow pressures throughout the organisation.

The post holder will be expected to contribute to both elective and emergency work and will also be required to participate in an on-call rota for out of hours and weekend cover.
