Job summary

South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a committed, dynamic and enthusiastic Anaesthetic Consultant to join our friendly, cohesive and ACSA accredited team.

The successful applicant will join a large team of 26 Consultants Anaesthetists at Warwick Hospital.

Main duties of the job

Consultant Anaethetist WSI Obstetrics

The Anaesthetic Department provides a comprehensive range of services including Colorectal, Urology, General Surgery, Breast Surgery, Trauma & Orthopaedics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, ENT, Oral & Max Fax surgery, Ophthalmology as well as dedicated robotic lists for Colorectal and Gynaecology.

A special interest in Obstetrics will complement current roles within the department.

The department is supported by a 7 bedded Critical Care unit.

Experience

  • oAnaesthesia and Peri-Operative Medicine oObstetric Anaesthesia and Analgesia, MDT and Antenatal clinics oCompetence in resuscitation and transfer of the sick child

Desirable

  • oExperience in guideline and policy development oExperience in or higher qualification in teaching methods oInvolvement with Enhanced Maternal Care

  • oEvidence in sustained participation in audit and quality improvement oCommitment to evidence based practice
