Job summary

Interested in a role shaping future doctors' understanding of community care and patients' lived experiences?

Interested in providing support to medical students face-to-face, working for SWFT in collaboration with Warwick Medical School to plan, deliver and evaluate a programme of Community Learning?

If so, this role is for you!

This bank role involves facilitating learning, providing a face-to-face placement and being actively involved in formative and summative assessment of students on the Community Learning Module. You would also be required to source patients for students to interview face-to-face in their homes, and agencies providing care to the patients to be interviewed face-to-face or virtually. You would be required to facilitate community days in a community base in South Warwickshire.

Experience and knowledge of working in a community setting is an essential requirement.

Training will be provided. The role typically requires 15-23 days commitment a year.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work collaboratively with Warwick Medical School in the planning, delivery and evaluation of the community focussed modules.

The role involves facilitating education and placement activity, planning and evaluation of courses and active involvement in formative and summative assessment.

Involvement in programme development and teaching with Warwick University are key features of the role.

Development of the placement programme involves organising agency interviews, case finding and coordination of the programme.

Evaluation of the programme is a key role and done in conjunction with the University.

Provision of learning support to Medical Students undertaking Community focussed modules. Community Tutors are responsible for the education, support and assessment of students and work closely with Warwick Medical School.
