OSCE Programme - apply to become a UK Registered Nurse at SWFT

South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust is a well-established Trust which is progressive and ever expanding. We have supported international recruitment for the last 4 years. Due to the success of our overseas nurse recruitment we are now looking at extending the OSCE Progamme to give qualified overseas nurses that are a resident in the UK the chance to be employed and supported by us to gain NMC Registration.
These positions will be based at one of our hospital sites across all specialties - Warwick Hospital (Medical and Surgical opportunities) or Leamington Spa Rehabilitation Hospital.
To qualify to apply you must have overseas registration, a minimum of two year's nursing experience in your own country and have passed the IELTS or OET and be working towards your CBT. You must be pending your NMC registration and awaiting their decision.
Main duties of the job
We have a robust and comprehensive OSCE Progamme already in place with a dedicated Practice Development Team who will develop your clinical skills and the adaption to UK nursing practices.
You will work on the Band 4 Agenda for Change Pay Scale during your OSCE training. You will be allocated 8 to 10 weeks training period and you will receive full support from our Practice Facilitators prepping you for your examination over this time frame. Once completion of the OSCE and a successful result we will pay you as a Band 5 - Registered Nurse.
We have friendly, enthusiastic, committed and dedicated staff ready to support you through your nursing journey. Once registered with the NMC you will have 12 month preceptorship with a dedicated mentor ensuring that transition to becoming UK qualified nurse is built on support and dedication from our nursing teams.

Job Purpose:
To deliver a high standard of nursing care to patients undergoing surgical or medical treatment. The post holders will be responsible for the assessment of patient care needs, and implementation and evaluation of the programme of the care. The post holders are required to work as part of a team committed to delivering and improving a high standard of nursing care within South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust
