Job summary

South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust is the ideal location for you to start your nursing career. We have nursing opportunities in a variety of specialties within the acute setting including medical, surgical and rehabilitation ward areas and across our community nursing sites in South and North Warwickshire.

As a newly qualified nurse we want you to enjoy your first nursing job and recognise this is a time where you may feel nervous and anxious so all our teams will welcome and support you through this transitional period. We offer a comprehensive 12 month Preceptorship Programme which is tailored and specifically designed to meet the development needs to support your transition from a student nurse to a self-assured and proficient registered nurse. You will be assigned an experienced Preceptor - who will, along with other members of the team, support you to progress and refine your knowledge and skills.

Main duties of the job

Our registered nurses make a real difference to patients' lives, so whether you are providing skilled nursing care or undertaking advanced clinical tasks, all the time you will be providing continuing compassionate care and support.

Your role will be to deliver a high standard of nursing care to patients undergoing surgical or medical treatment. The post holders will be responsible for the assessment of patient care needs, and implementation and evaluation of the programme of the care. The post holders are required to work as part of a team committed to delivering and improving a high standard of nursing care within South Warwickshire

All candidates attend a Trust induction and all locations offer a supernumerary period of at least 2 weeks with some areas routinely offering longer.
