Job summary
The Trust is seeking to appoint to the position of Clinical Audit and Effectiveness Facilitator.
It is an exciting opportunity to develop skills in Clinical Audit and Quality Improvement.
The post holder will be a dynamic, forward thinking candidate supporting the delivery and promotion of effective clinical audit and effectiveness within the Trust.
The successful candidate will facilitate, co-ordinate and undertake national, regional, network and local audits as part of the audit requirement of the Trust. The Clinical Audit Facilitator will also support the delivery of divisional/specialty clinical audit plans by giving information, advice and support to staff involved in clinical audit and ensure that clinical audits are carried out effectively.
The applicant will be an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and a flexible team player and will be required to prepare written reports presenting complex matters in a logical way using the appropriate style, content and language for the audience and ideally have experience of giving presentations or teaching.

Review current practice and integrate best practice into own work, ensuring standards are evidence based.
Report and discuss regularly with team members and Clinical and Effectiveness Manager any changes or developments in working practice.
Assess personal learning needs and address through continuing professional development.
Operational
In conjunction with team members:
Facilitate, co-ordinate and undertake when necessary, national, regional, network and local audits as part of the audit requirement of the Trust. This will include the collection and analysis of data, helping to interpret findings and facilitation of actions needed by liaising with clinical leads as appropriate.
Support the delivery of divisional clinical audit plans by giving information, advice and support to staff involved in clinical audit and ensuring that clinical audits are carried out effectively.
In conjunction with the Clinical Audit Manager support the development of training materials and clinical audit training.
To support the development of the departments intranet site and be responsible for some elements of the content.
Undertake activities that promote audit and the Clinical Effectiveness Department by raising the profile of clinical audit throughout the organisation and help to support effective partnerships and networks with key stakeholders in the organisations clinical audit programme.
Assist with the monitoring of the progress of audits being undertaken in the Trust by maintaining database register of clinical audits carried out in the organisation including obtaining evidence of improvements achieved through the clinical audits.
Provide regular reports on work undertaken and contribute to the Clinical Audit and Effectiveness Departments annual/quarterly reports and in conjunction with the Clinical Audit Manager specifically develop and support the departments quality clinical audit report.
Produce written reports using the Trusts governance information system (currently CHKS) for the Divisional Audit and Operational Groups and Clinical Governance Committee to support improving the Trusts morbidity and mortality rates.
Represent the Clinical Audit and Effectiveness Department at appropriate internal and external audit, operational and management meetings.
