Job summary
South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust provides emergency services at our Emergency Department in Warwick Hospital and the Minor Injuries Unit at Stratford Hospital. These busy areas have purpose built dedicated facilities, and allocated nursing staff, to provide 7 day services across both sites.
We are looking for a high caliber Nurse, Paramedic or Physio to enhance our established Emergency Care Practitioner service who will be able to work independently and in conjunction with other members of the clinical team.
We now have a vacancy for a Band 7 ECP to join our friendly team dedicated to providing a quality service to achieve the best outcomes for our patients. The Department is fully supportive of our ECP service, and we are able to offer protected time for training / development, audit and the on-going development of this patient-led service.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working ECP with advanced clinical skills and a commitment to the continuous development and improvement of this service. Applicants need to have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively, as an autonomous practitioner and as part of the team, ensuring the delivery of a consistently high standard of care to meet patient needs and Trust objectives.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a nurse with advanced clinical skills and an expert knowledge base, providing a high standard of holistic care in the field of minor injuries and minor illness.
The post holder will prioritise care needs and work autonomously within agreed protocols managing their own case load, promoting the use of evidence based practice to ensure the delivery of high quality, efficient care.
The post holder will provide specialist advice and management plans for patients with complex care needs, and will provide specialist advice to other members of the multi-disciplinary team (MDT).
The post holder will promote collaborative working relationships to facilitate the rapid delivery of seamless care.
The post holder will work towards the development of the service in collaboration with the ENP Team, A&E Matron / Manager, clinicians and other service users, assisting the ENP Team with any other duties in support of the ENP role and function.
