Digital Transformation Support Officer - £23,500 per annum (pro rata)

Innovate are looking for Digital Transformation Support Officers who will provide face-to-face support for staff with the use of clinical systems within the organisations. The team works closely with the Digital Transformation Project team to support local and national project implementations alongside the scheduled 'business as usual' offerings. This will include the provision of support in both virtual and actual environments.

Main duties of the job
The position will require experience in supporting and coaching staff in the use of Digital Technology, ideally within the NHS. You will be experienced in managing your own workload; and have excellent computer and communication skills. You will be able to cope with significant pressure, short deadlines and a high workload.
This position will require some flexibility around working patterns in order to provide the necessary support to the service. It will include some out of hours working, to include evenings, nights, weekends and Bank Holidays. It will be based at Warwick, but travel to other sites will be essential. Full and Part Time positions are available.

To provide support for a range of users. This will include planning, organisation and delivery of face to face or virtual support and coaching. Documentation and evaluation of the learning provided is also a key task. Although this post is based at Warwick, there will be the requirement to provide support at other locations in Warwickshire
Key Duties
Management Responsibilities
- To manage and organise own workload, prioritising where necessary.
- To work unsupervised.
Preparation and Evaluation
- Develop support materials for end-users.
- Carry out performance assessments to determine the skills gaps between current and desirable skill levels.
- Deliver an appropriate mix of formal and informal skills support activities.
- Log and record all support activity and its outcome
- Obtain feedback using an evaluation process, record and monitor the quality of support making improvements in service delivery where required.
- Provide feedback and encouragement to learners and offer progression opportunities.
- Identify development opportunities additional / specific needs and provide further support and assistance to those users who require it.
- Assist in the maintenance and provision of management information and statistics in relation to the needs of the department.
- Ensure that all support materials meet relevant quality criteria and are reviewed in accordance with quality management processes.
Coaching
- Work on a flexible basis to support computer users through 1-1 and small group coaching/facilitation. On occasions this may require working evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays to support a system go live and meet the needs of a 24-hour, 7-day week service organisation.
- Develop ICT skills and support staff in the application and understanding of Microsoft Office Professional software including mouse and pc skills as well as any other electronic applications at basic, intermediate and, where applicable, advanced levels.
- Responsibility for working with staff on a one-to-one basis to overcome any difficulties encountered using any electronic application.
- Support and coach learners using relevant learning technologies and environments.
- Adhere to confidentiality when supporting users on a live systems containing patient information.
- Ensure users are aware of the Data Protection Act and other relevant legislation and guidelines and that they use IT systems effectively and securely.
- Inform staff of the Companys audit trail and its relation and effectiveness to the use of the Trusts IT systems.
- Assist in support for externally accredited courses.
- Prepare and deliver relevant presentations to support ICT-enabled change, as appropriate
Communication
- Liaise with other internal or external staff to identify those who need additional support.
- Co-ordinate learning and other stakeholder engagement activities with Business Change and Communications
- Assist in the development of relevant content for publication on Intranets and other web sites.
- Communicate with other members of Warwickshire Digital and Technology Services, other users as necessary.
- Answer telephone queries about electronic applications, Microsoft applications and user set-up and provide help and support in these areas.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Promote Health and Safety legislation, promoting high standards and acting immediately on hazards or unsafe practices.
- Maintain the learning environment to an acceptable standard.
- Undertake reasonable duties required by the Service Lead, as appropriate.
- Provide short-term cover for colleagues during periods of leave.
- Ensure that all Company standards are maintained and monitored to improve the quality of care to all who come in contact with the team
