Apprenticeship and Provider Pier Technology

Eligibility - To meet the eligibility criteria for government funded apprenticeship schemes you must be:

  • aged 16 or over
  • been resident in the UK/EU for the last 3 years

Desirable GCSE Grade 3-9 (D-A) in English and Maths is desirable but not essential as you will be required to complete a Functional Skills at Level 1 or 2 Functional Skills English, Maths (if applicable).

South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT) is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated apprentice to work within the Warwick/Kenilworth District Nursing Team based at Cape Road Clinic, Warwick. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop administrate and customer service skills, learning on the job whilst also having the opportunity to obtain a nationally recognised qualification

Main duties of the job

To be trained to carry out all aspects of administration for the Warwick/Kenilworth District Nursing team and acquire knowledge of administrative systems, office procedures and data input procedures through on-the-job training.

To undertake under supervision and with training the following aspects:

  • General secretarial duties to support the department
  • Stock management, reporting and ordering stock where necessary
  • Assisting with HR Functions for the department
  • Dealing with general, non-clinical enquires, both face to face and on the telephone
  • Managing own workload
  • Daily diary management

Communication and Relationship skills:

  • To have excellent customer service
  • To be able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally, even when there may be communication difficulties.
  • To follow legislation, policies and procedures.
