Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic person to join our Electro-Biomedical Engineering (EBME) team to carry out maintenance / repair on a wide range of diagnostic medical devices across the county of Warwickshire.
You will be expected to have a BTEC ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or possess the required level of experience in maintaining and repairing microprocessor based electronic equipment. Evidence of good practical skills, a sound knowledge and an understanding of maintenance is a prerequisite of the post and you will be expected to demonstrate this at interview.
Applicants should have an adaptable, flexible approach to work and be able to demonstrate they can work very well within a team as well as being able to use their own initiative.
Main duties of the job
To be a member of the team in the Electro Bio Medical Engineering Department providing maintenance/ repair support on a wide range of medical equipment both within the Trust and out in the community. The post holder will be responsible for supporting the EBME department in carrying out routine planned maintenance including electrical safety testing in accordance with specified standards. The job will also require identifying any potential risks associated with the use of medical devices.
