About the Role

As a Mental Health Practitioner within the Staying Well Hub, you will play a vital role in supporting the mental health and emotional wellbeing of our colleagues. This is a varied and rewarding position that combines direct support with strategic wellbeing initiatives, including:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing person-centred support plans
  • Providing timely, compassionate mental health support and crisis intervention.
  • Designing and delivering psycho-social education programme and wellbeing workshops
  • Lead on suicide prevention and postvention initiatives.
  • Contributing to the development of a proactive, preventative wellbeing culture across the Trust.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance wellbeing outcomes.
  • Support return-to-work planning and long-term sickness cases.
  • Promote mental health awareness and deliver training across the organisation.
  • Use data to evaluate impact and inform service development.

  • A qualified/registered mental health practitioner (RMN, OT, Social Worker) or Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP)
  • Registered with the relevant professional body
  • Experience in mental health counselling i.e. cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, or worked within clinical settings

Desirable

  • Experience in evaluating workplace wellbeing

Previous experience (Paid/ Unpaid relevant to job)

  • Ambulance sector knowledge and/or experience, specifically the Emergency Operations Centre
  • Awareness of GDPR and Caldicott requirements
