Job summary

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Operations - EOCs, this is a senior and high profile leadership role, responsible for management and leadership of the Clinical Operations function within the EOCs as well as being responsible for oversight of patient safety, governance, audit compliance, complex patient management, quality assurance and clinical coding within the EOCs. The post holder will be accountable for the delivery of AQI Hear and Treat within the EOCs.

Main duties of the job

Ensure the effective management of the Clinical, governance and safety functions within the EOCs by planning, organising, monitoring and leading the service to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care.

Working in conjunction with the Heads of EOC take a lead on the development of policy, SOPs, governance, assurance processes and clinical practice within the EOCs to reflect the needs of service users. As part of this they have responsibility for ensuring safe systems of work within their function and must work to ensure patient and staff safety.
