Job summary
The Complex Care Lead is a key leadership role in the Safeguarding directorate and as such will be a role model for operational staff. Reporting to the Head of Safeguarding, the Complex Care Lead has operational accountability for the efficient and effective day to day management and smooth operation of the Frequent Caller team.As a subject matter expert, the post holder will be responsible for supporting the development of aspects of the Trust's clinical strategy relating to Frequent Caller management. With support from the Head of Safeguarding and the wider Quality & Clinical Care and Safeguarding directorates, the Complex Care Lead will be responsible for ensuring safe effective, well governed and appropriate processes are in place. They will be responsible for supporting the development of Trust Policy, process and guidelines that support delivery of service to this vulnerable and complex cohort of patients.
Main duties of the job
- Participate and where appropriate, lead local service improvement teams to ensure that clinical quality remains the focus for all staff.
- Provide clinical and frequent caller related advice and support to staff across the Hub and wider organisation.
- Line management responsibility for the Frequent Caller Team.
- Positively contribute to wider discussions in regard to departmental business and in order to discharge this responsibility effectively will be required to meet regularly with other senior managers.
- The Complex Care Lead will be responsible for ensuring safe effective, well governed and appropriate processes are in place relating to frequent callers, escalating concerns or variances to the Head of Safeguarding
