Job summary
The Lead Cyber Security Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of the NHS Ambulance Trust's IT systems. Implementing security measures, monitoring IT infrastructure for vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents. The role will work closely with and support the Cyber Security Architect to ensure that appropriate technical resources are trained and then aligned to work streams, to ensure a seamless and consistent delivery of Cyber Security services to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA's) and technical standards. Maintaining compliance with NHS and legal standards and in developing security policies and procedures.
The post holder will require supplier management skills working with third party partners to provide cyber security services. The post holder will require strong proven communication and influencing skills and the ability to develop effective relationships across all levels of the organisation.

As well as being an experiencedCyber Security Engineer the Lead Cyber Security Engineer role is a "hands on" technical role which requires experience of Cloud platforms & architecture including Microsoft Azure IaaS,Compute & Storage Infrastructure, Virtualisation infrastructure environmentsMicrosoft Windows Server Roles,Microsoft 365 ,Mail & Web filtering tools,VPN solutions, Remote Desktop Services & VDI Solutions, Backup & Recovery Solutions, Cyber Security & Antivirus Solutions, Database & Data Architecture,Endpoint Management Solutions, Data Centre Environments, Digital Infrastructure Monitoring Solutions.
