Job summary

South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is incredibly excited to be able to able to extend its Wellbeing Supporter role following significant investment into the wellbeing provision. The Wellbeing Supporter has proven very successful throughout our Trust and has been an incredible support to our people.

The Wellbeing Supporter is part of our in-house staff wellbeing service; the Staying Well Service, with a close working relationship with the local operational management teams, HR and other departments.

The Wellbeing Supporters will ensure that individual's within the Trust receive appropriate welfare support. Supporting individuals with all aspects of their wellbeing; mental, social, financial and physical health needs, including those who are critically ill or have a life changing condition.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will work under the Staying Well Service, and liaise with local management teams as well as members of our People Directorate to provide advice in an integrated and seamless way taking a people-centre approach based on an understanding of circumstances and needs. They will act as a point of contact for both employees and managers and draw on expertise within the Trust to enable them to provide the necessary support.

They will promote a proactive health and wellbeing approach to support our Staying Well Service and management teams to prevent crisis situations and to bring both awareness and education to our people. In addition, they will work with external organisations to broaden the wellbeing offering for people in their Trust area.
