Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Team Leader in Yellow team at HART Bristol.

The HART Deputy Team Leader is instrumental in helping to support the HART Team Leader to ensure the smooth day to day running of HART within the Operations Directorate.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will support the HART Team Leader and deputise in their absence in the day to day management of the team whilst on station and in operational incidents ensuring:

  • the delivery of high quality patient care.
  • to provide leadership and support operational staff.
  • to act as a role model for all staff, fostering a professional approach and encouraging best practice in all areas.

HART will be tasked by the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) to attend cases of accident and sudden illness and to respond to emergency, urgent and planned patient transfer requests.

The HART Deputy Team Leader will operate at functional command level to ensure that a safe system of work can be implemented in conjunction with the Operational Commander prior to commitment into the risk area.
