Job summary
This is a full-time permanent position, within the Clinical Directorate. The role is new and relates to the Trusts developing Clinical Support Team (CST) function, which provides validation and clinical support.
The Clinical Support Team (CST) Manager is a key senior member of the Trust's Clinical Team and is responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of the CST.
Specifically, this role will involve leadership of the clinical validation function as well as provision of clinical support to operational staff. A key part of this role is line management responsibility for the staff working on the CST, including, but not limited to staffing, education and audit.
Main duties of the job
The CST Manager will provide high profile and effective clinical leadership within the CST and across the wider Trust, supporting the development of Trust clinical and quality Improvement strategy, ensuring that employees and partners understand the Trust-wide strategic plans.
They will demonstrate excellent communication skills, showing tact, diplomacy and the ability to engage a wide spectrum of clinicians, Leads, patients and others involved in the development/provision of high-quality care.
The role of the manager will involve seeking opportunities for quality improvement, improving patient safety and service development, driving the progression and implementation of innovative practice.
