Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for existing Enhanced Skills qualified HART clinicians to undertake a bespoke training and educational programme that will offer the highest levels of specialist care in the complex environments that HART clinicians work in,to all patients actually or potentially affected by any major civil emergency or potentially hazardous situations.
We are looking to recruit two HART Paramedic to commence the trainee specialist practitioner HART(tSP HART) role in January 2025.
The successful candidates will need to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to the delivery of clinical excellence within the HART environment, a passion for patient care, evidence of significant continued professional development and well developed leadership and supervision skills.

Main duties of the job
This role is a development of the existing HART role and the full duties of this role will continue to be a requirement of the tSP HART.
You will be enabled to develop and optimise your skillset through a combined process of working with a Mentor in a HART environment, attachments to NHS Hospitals and Critical Care teams and achievement of formal educational qualifications.
You will work closely with and under the supervision of a designated tSP HART mentor during your trainee period to develop, practice and review clinical skills. You will be required to successfully complete Trust recognised academic development to a minimum of post graduate diploma level and complete the sign-off of the Trust SP-HART portfolio within a reasonable time frame (anticipated to be 18 - 24 months).
You will develop the skills to undertake the mentorship of future tSP HART once signed off as competent to do so. The tSP HART will participate in and contribute to trials and audits, both locally and nationally, as advised by the HART Clinical Governance Group and Enhanced and Critical Care Group.
There will be a requirement to attend extensive courses, training opportunities and exercises to maintain professional, clinical and specialist skills and support Continuing Professional Development. This will necessitate the requirement to be flexible, include periods of time away from home and the need to attend and successfully complete nationally agreed training programmes when required.
