Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward thinking and dynamic team based at Wiltshire Air Ambulance, made up of excellent clinicians and fantastic charity and aviation staff, who are all motivated by saving lives and improving outcomes for the most seriously injured and unwell patients in our area.

You will be responsible for the line management and leadership of the Specialist Practitioner in Critical Care team at the base, and will work closely with the Specialist Practice Operations Manager (Enhanced and Critical care), Charity and Clinical Leads to ensure the aims and objectives of the Trust and Wiltshire Air Ambulance Charity are achieved.

Main duties of the job

The Operations Officer will become an integral part of the leadership team for both SWASfT air operations and Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

SWASfT and Wiltshire Air Ambulance work in close collaboration to achieve our aims and objectives and contribute to a wide variety of work streams and activities.

We're looking for a great all-rounder - someone happy speaking to a wide variety of people across both the clinical and fundraising spectrum. Someone who can provide strong visible leadership to our people but also engage with charity stakeholders and the public, and someone who is keen to work collaboratively with our whole team.

The successful applicant will be a compassionate and caring leader of people with a wholly professional and diplomatic attitude. You will become a key figure not just as a SWASfT leader at Wiltshire Air Ambulance but also as an ambassador for the charity. Requirements of this role will range from ensuring the administrative and welfare needs of your team are met on a day to day basis to engaging in fundraising and Public Relations opportunities for the charity.
