Job summary

An exiting opportunity to be involved in the continuous development of our pharmacy team. We have already started to have an impact by supporting our front line staff following successful trials of our bag packing service in Bristol and Soundwell which we are going to expand.

Main duties of the job

Working as part of our Stores & Pharmacy team to provide an accurate and efficient service, undertaking a wide range of pharmacy activities.

The post holder will be responsible for:

Ordering, receiving and storing medicines and pharmacy stock in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures;

Effective stock rotation within the Stores area;

Picking & packing of orders / drugs bags;

Carrying out checking and other quality control processes;

Supporting the returns and disposal processes;

Liaising with relevant Pharmacy staff regarding issue resolution.

  • Full Driving Licence with a maximum of 3 points
  • Good general education

Desirable

  • Certificate in Medicines Management for Ambulance Trusts or successful completion of Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship (RQF level 2 equivalent) or the ability to attain after a period of training

Previous experience (Paid/ Unpaid relevant to job)
