Job summary
Support the Operations Manager (OM) and Operations Officer (OO) in the day to day management of the Operational Base with particular responsibilities for the administrative arrangements of the base.

Main duties of the job
Assist the OO and OM in ensuring that operational personnel carry out their duties in accordance with Trust policies, guidelines and standards of conduct.
Promote and establish a healthy and safe working environment, ensuring health and safety policies are complied with particularly those relating to accident reporting and investigation procedures. Ensure health and safety checks are actioned in line with agreed recommendations and timescales and ensure that appropriate standards of cleanliness of vehicles and equipment are maintained, as agreed with the Operational Management Team.
Assist with the induction of new staff, ensuring that they are aware of all necessary procedures, policies and information in order to carry out their role effectively.

Essential
- Able to meet the requirements of the Knowledge and Skills Framework for their role
- HCPC registered Band 6 Paramedic
- Full Driving Licence and minimum 12 months actual recent driving experience
- Category B driving licence held for at least 1 year. No more than 3 penalty points for certain offences. Must have licence category C1
- Current SWAST recognised emergency driving qualification
Desirable
- Mentoring Qualification
- Candidates must have two years' experience in a Qualified Paramedic role
- BSc Paramedic Degree
Previous experience (Paid/ Unpaid relevant to job)

- Experience in dealing with a diverse range of people in a customer/patient environment
