Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our IM&T team as Cyber Security Engineer. The role is a technical position which requires an extensive knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, Microsoft Hyper-V/Azure/365, server and storage hardware, networking technologies, and a good working understanding of cyber security assurance framework (ISO27001, Cyber Essentials or DSPT).

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, pragmatic and highly organised, with the ability to work flexibly and with a positive approach to problem solving.

The role is focused on security aspects of the business, working closely with other technical teams to ensure all systems (old and new) are adequately protected through patching, permissions and policies etc. There will be a requirement to manage cyber security project resources and third parties independently to mitigate risks, deliver security compliance and practise supply chain risk management.

The post holder will also be responsible to the Cyber Security Architect, for the efficient and effective support of Information Technology and Computerised systems and services throughout the Trust, to support first class patient care.

Main duties of the job

o Review and establish cyber security policies;o Work closely with other ICT teams and vendors to evaluate, deploy and use security tools to identify and resolve issues in various systems and applications (e.g. MS MDE, PAM, SIEM, MFA);o Perform risk assessment;o Review and manage AD, system and cloud security configurations;o Perform vulnerability scans and follow-up with different stakeholders;o Perform security reviews (user access review, OS baseline review,...etc);o Perform and support patching activities;o Support audit activities;o Handle cyber threat intelligence and response to cyber incidents;o Handle cyber security requests and response to user enquiries;
