Job summary

There has never been a better time to join the Trust's Fleet and Equipment team as a Fleet & Equipment Technical Project Manager.

This key role will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of complex Fleet & Equipment related projects on behalf of the Trust. The post holder will manage all aspects of project stages and budget management whilst providing expert advice to senior management of the Trust. The postholder will also work as part of a wider project management team and support, facilitate and monitor progress of projects both internal and externally.

We are looking for a committed and experienced person to support the Fleet and Equipment team's upcoming and future projects.

The banding for this role is indicative, subject to review.

Main duties of the job

Be responsible to the Head of Fleet & Equipment for the timely, efficient, and effective management of complex specified Fleet & Equipment related projects on behalf of the Trust.

Manage all aspects of projects stages through; gathering requirements, specification, planning, testing, training, deployment, decommissioning and maintain a robust change and delivery management framework for assigned projects.

Provide expert specialist and professional operational maintenance expertise and advice to senior management of the Trust and external agencies.

Essential

  • Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Current, clean driving licence.

Desirable

  • General management or ITIL Service Management qualification.
  • Educated to HNC/HND level in Automotive Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Certified PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent project management qualification
