Supply and Delivery Operative
South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust
This job is now closed
Job summary
There has never been a better time to join the Trust's Supply and Delivery Service as a Supply and Delivery Operative. We have just introduced a new scanning system to manage the consumables both on site and out at station, so crews don't need to spend time ordering stocks from us. This is now all completed by us to agreed min/max stock levels.
This means we need to ensure can cover not only having people in the warehouse to place orders, receive deliveries and carry out the picks, but people to go out to stations put the orders away, rota and expiry date check but also carry out scans for what will be required on the next visit. This role covers off all of this in a bank capacity to support gaps in staffing when permanent staff are on A/L or sick as the service has to be maintained.
The role of the Supply and Delivery Operative is also a gateway to the organisation with opportunities to develop your career both in the team and wider Trust in both patient-facing and a variety of support roles.
This is a bank contract - which means it is a 0 hour contract. We would get in touch when we have business need to support the wider team to staff all tasks and if you were available we would slot you into the gap. Working hours would change week on week and month on month depending on what was required.
