Job summary
INTERNAL ONLY RING FENCED TO BNSSG STAFF
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Paramedic position within the County Management Team in the county of BNSSG, with support and training provided.
The successful candidate will support the Operations Manager (OM) and Operations Officers (OOs) in the day to day management of Operational Bases within the BNSSG county, with particular responsibilities for the administrative arrangements. An allocation of admin hours will be provided allowing dedicated time to carry out station duties.
They will assist the OM and OOs in ensuring that operational personnel carry out their duties in accordance with Trust policy, service instructions and to the standards of conduct andperformance.
They will promote and establish a healthy and safe working environment, ensuring health and safety policies are complied with particularly those relating to accident reporting and investigation procedures. Ensure health and safety checks are actioned in line with agreed recommendations and timescales and ensure that appropriate standards of cleanliness of vehicles and equipment are maintained, as agreed with the OM.
The successful candidate will also assist the OM and OOs with the development and maintenance of local systems and controls.
Main duties of the job
Support the Operations Manager (OM) and Operations Officer (OO) in the day-to-day management of the Operational Base with responsibilities for the admin arrangements of the base.
Assist the OO and OM in ensuring that operational personnel carry out their duties in accordance with Trust policy, service instructions and to the standards of conduct and performance defined by the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), out-of-hospital care guidelines published by Joint Royal Colleges Ambulance Liaison Committee (JRCALC), and Trust Clinical Notices.
Promote and establish a healthy and safe working environment, ensuring health and safety policies are complied with particularly those relating to accident reporting and investigation procedures.
Assist with the induction of new staff, ensuring that they are aware of all necessary procedures, policies, and information to carry out their role effectively.
Assist the Head of Operations and OM with the setting up and maintenance of local systems and controls to ensure that time sheets, annual leave, sickness records, travel claims etc are correct and appropriately authorised.
Participate in the delivery of quality measures, in consultation with the OO and OM toensure the highest standards of service are achieved. Demonstrate the ability to remain adaptive and innovative to short notice changes as required from the OM and OO.
