Job summary

An exciting opportunity has become available within the Trust stores based at Skypark in Exeter for a Stores Site Manager.

You will join a dynamic team during a period of transformation as we implement the stores managed stock service and develop the medicines bag re-packing project so strong leadership and communication skills are key to this role.

The Stores Site Manager will provide overall leadership and management to the Trust's Stores and Supplies function. The role will support the Regional Stores Manager in providing oversight to associated delivery plans, ensuring effective financial management and service development.

This position will act as a pivotal role in the Stores Team management and will be focused on people centred leadership to develop and the lead the implementation of change programmes, targeted at standardisation of operation, efficiency, and value for money.

The role will help support effective delivery of a high-quality logistics service which is capable of flex to meet the changing demands of the service, whilst maintaining operations within budget and financial governance requirements.

Main duties of the job

To support the management of the Stores & Supplies Team ensuring levels of resources are maintained within budget and develop plans to enable more cost effective and efficient use of resources in line with agreed cost improvement plans and strategic objectives.

To provide support, training and development to the stores team leaders and other stores staff as required;

To act as site responsible officer for allocated stores location with overall responsibility for health and safety on site.
