Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of HART Training Manager based at EDOC, Exeter.

The successful post holder will be responsible for the organisation, planning and facilitation of training which meets national HART and organisational contract standards. Additionally they will provide training related support to SWASFT staff and partner agencies as required.

Main duties of the job

The HART Training Manager will ensure that national competency standards set by NARU are met by all SWASFT HART staff, and where deficiencies are identified, implement Trust policy to remediate the identified training and competency shortfalls.

The successful candidate will work in collaboration with clinical governance and managerial colleagues to provide assessment and mentoring opportunities that will contribute to the improvement in the quality of patient care and staff development.

Education and Qualifications

Essential

  • Qualifications or significant experience relating to HART and its associated operations
  • HCPC registered Paramedic with 2 years operational experience.
  • Full UK driving licence with up to a maximum of 6 points

Desirable

  • IOSH level 1 or 2
  • NEBOSH
  • Management Qualification
  • Tactical Command training

Previous Experience

Essential

  • Knowledge and understanding of NHS Preparedness Resilience and Response Framework
  • Experience of creating and delivering learning objectives, lesson plans and learner outcomes in line with the HART Training Policy

Desirable

  • Understanding of HART operational policies and procedures, including the Incident Response Plan and other local and national HART guidance
