Job summary
We are looking for a Stroke Specialist Speech and Language Therapist. You will provide Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) services to the 14-bedded Willow Stroke Rehabilitation Unit, currently based at Liskeard Community Hospital and scheduled to return to Bodmin Hospital on 31 March 2026. You will work as part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team, contributing to high-quality stroke rehabilitation. In addition, the role includes some community-based work with patients living in the North and East Cornwall locality.

Main duties of the job
- Delivering comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment for adult stroke patients experiencing communication and/or swallowing difficulties.
- Working as an autonomous practitioner, managing patients with both acute and chronic presentations.
- Collaborating effectively with the multi-disciplinary team and liaising with relevant care professionals and external agencies to ensure seamless patient care.
- Supporting the ongoing training and development of the MDT and partner agencies to promote best practice in stroke rehabilitation.
