This post offers an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist or Specialist Allied Health Professional to be part of care home transformation within Cornwall's Integrated Care System.
The COVID-19 pandemic has put the spotlight on the care home sector for its resilience, dedication, compassion, work ethic and expertise. As a system in Cornwall we have learnt so much and this new collaborative has been created to enable safer, kinder and more enhanced person centred care with a specific empathises on inclusion, equality and integration.
We are looking for three dynamic, creative and compassionate clinical professionals to support our ethos of Listening and Responding to Care Homes. They will strive to improve quality, experience and outcomes of people living in care homes and heighten the profile, value and equality of care home staff that support them. Relationship building, trust and communication are key to this success.
Main duties of the job
As a CNS for Care Home Support and Development you will work across Cornwall, aligning within the 3 Integrated Care Areas, developing a network of clinical partners, influencers and stakeholders to act as an interface with care homes at the heart.
An ideal candidate for the CNS for Care Home Support and Development role will have clinical expertise, programme management skills, experience of teaching and confidence to work within a health and social care matrix. They will be dynamic, flexible, personable, intuitive, and creative, with excellent communication skills.
This is a fantastic opportunity to co-create a new way of working to improve the lives of the 5000 people living in care homes and the 7500 people that work within them, whilst enabling huge progression on the biggest priorities of our Integrated Care System in Cornwall
