This new role will be pivotal in leading Cornwall's Community Mental Health Services significant transformational change program and help create new opportunities for our Nursing & AHP workforce, that give the people of Cornwall the best mental health care. Working across Community Mental Health Service you will support the complete transformation of the CMHT's, work with Operational Managers and Community Mental Health Matrons to expand our Perinatal Mental Health Services, Early Intention in Psychosis Service and ensure that our nursing & AHP staff have the best experience in delivering high quality patient focused care across all our other existing Community Mental Health Services.
Main duties of the job
- will take the lead on quality, safety, and patient experience across inpatient and crisis services within the division
- be responsible for the leadership of the non-medical clinical workforce, through the provision of support and guidance that will ensure our patients and staff are safe, cared for and listened to within a culture that promotes safety and openness.
- will lead on the development and delivery of both clinical and professional standards in line with the agreed performance objectives, targets, quality standards, resource controls and constraints.
- importantly this role takes a championing role in patient and family experience. This role will have a portfolio that reflects this as delegated by the Director of Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals.
- will have responsibility for actively leading the delivery of the Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals Vision within community-based services. To enable them to execute this responsibility, the post holder is expected to provide proactive and visible leadership. Leadership will span four key areas: service leadership, people and personal leadership, quality leadership and collaborative leadership.
- All senior leaders are expected to work as part of a cohesive team and, when necessary, to take lead responsibility for corporate issues outside their immediate sphere of responsibility to achieve the corporate objectives of the Trust

In the summer, and during other holidays lots of people choose to visit the area. This increases the numbers of people who use our services.
