Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for a Housekeeper post to be based on Willow Ward working 30 hours per week.

The post holder will work as an integral part of the ward team on Willow Ward and support in providing a welcoming ward environment for patients.

The post holder will be responsible for assisting patients with menu completion, serving meals and drinks and ensuring standards are met with the meal service.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who is able to work well within a team and on their own initiative.

Main duties of the job

To provide housekeeping services to the ward sister within the ward environment. The post holder will work as an integral part of the ward team. The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient facilities/services in the ward area and for ensuring a clean, safe and comfortable environment.

The main elements of the role are ensuring the delivery of cleaning, catering and minor maintenance, together with other specified tasks to meet patient needs, as determined by the ward sister/nurse in charge. The post holder will be required to work closely with the Senior General Services Assistant, contractors and support services departments. The post holder will monitor quality standards and rectify deficiencies
