Job summary
We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated team-players to work as Acute GP's in the Acute GP Service. The positions are primarily based at Camborne Redruth Community Hospital. You will be working alongside and collaboratively with our clinical colleagues from RCHT, Kernow CIC and other healthcare providers.

Each position will cover 1 day per week and every 4 weeks 1 day at the weekend

0830-1630
1000-1800
1030-1830
Weekend rotation:
0900-1500
1200-1800
Applicants will be qualified GPs with primary care experience and a desire for innovation. Training will be provided around the commencement of clinical duties, and this position offers a very generous CPD and annual leave package.
Main duties of the job
Acute GP service GP provides peer to peer support via a telephone triage service to clinical colleagues, agreeing a suitable pathway with the referring clinician.
As an Acute GP Service GP you will triage all requests from GPs and other multi-disciplinary teams for medical admission, across both acute & community hospitals. You will participate in assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients in the same day Acute GP clinic.
You will provide a clinical review of patients referred from clinical colleagues to the primary care team.
