Job summary
Due to successful internal promotion we now have an exciting career opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Central Safety and Risk Team, providing direct support to the trust's Risk Manager/Central Alerting System (CAS) liaison officer. You will support delivery of an effective risk management function and the continued development of systems and processes for the management and dissemination of all safety alerts.
You will have specific responsibility for the day-to-day management of safety alerts, ensuring all deadlines are met. The post-holder will provide support and guidance to senior leads and managers relating to all aspects of safety alert management to achieve the trust's commitment to manage them in a systematic and transparent way. A key aspect of your role will be to provide support and guidance on the use of risk register and the generation of information to support the Risk Manager.
The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively with a wide range of disciplines and staff, have excellent organisation skills and communication skills and be able to work within tight deadlines whilst juggling competing priorities. Production of risk and safety alert reports and helping to establish, monitor and develop systems and processes, including improvement and maintenance of databases will form a key part of the role.

Main duties of the job
Provide risk management and safety alert support to the trust's Risk Manager and others as required.
Responsible for managing safety alerts in line with trust policy, and record all information on the relevant trust system.
The post holder will manage the Central Alert System (CAS) notifications and facilitate other safety notices, requesting evidence of compliance and appropriate sign off and closure of all notices within deadlines, escalating if deadlines appear to be at risk.
Provide support and guidance to senior leads and managers relating to all aspects of safety alert management to achieve the trust's commitment to manage them in a systematic and transparent way.
Provide support and guidance to facilitate the administration of a wide range of risk management activities in accordance with the trust's systems and processes and its commitment to a proactive risk management culture.
Prepare reports and recommend escalation when the trust may be at risk of failing to meet internal or external deadlines and/or targets.
Work as part of the safety and risk team, providing support for maintaining up to date and accurate records and meeting reasonable information requests.
