Working closely with the Associate Director of Finance, you will provide high quality leadership to the Finance Department and will lead a section of the financial management function.
Working within this role will be an unbelievably rewarding decision, working with a diverse team of clinical leaders to shape the future of Cornwall's NHS Services.
This is intended to be a full-time post working 37.5 hours per week, however flexible working and job-shares will be considered.

- Experience in financial management within a large organisation
- CCAB Qualified
- Line management experience, with the ability to develop and lead a team
- Detailed understanding of budget monitoring, reporting and forecasting
- Ability to challenge operational managers to provide best value for money whilst upholding patient safety and maximising the quality of care

Main duties of the job
What will you achieve in the role?:
- Be a key member of the Finance Leadership team, supporting the delivery of key objectives across the team, leading on recruitment, and having a senior presence across the organisation.
- Take responsibility for the Trust's annual planning. Devise and implement innovative ideas to deliver a robust planning model that aligns the plan with the budgets. Apply continuous improvement to ensure it works smoothly and delivers intuitive reporting outputs.
- Provide monthly analytics to teams within finance to explain and narrate the financial position, using insightful analysis to show underlying trends
- Ensure the Trust's contractual income process has strong relationships with the other organisations, robust processes to account for income, and makes sure the Trust receives all income appropriate to its services.
- Oversee the embedding of the PLICS costing process into CFT, the information is continuously improved, and the Trust meets all mandatory returns.
