Job summary

Carn Brea Ward (CATU) Camborne and Redruth Hospital

Based in Cornwall, the Community Assessment and Treatment Unit (CATU) is a fast-paced ward with a wide variety of patients coming through our doors that are in need of acute medical interventions and rehabilitation goals. Our unit is continuously developing therefore, this job role will enable you to gain a wealth of knowledge and skills that will extend daily along with developing your leadership and management skills.

Main duties of the job

This job role will support and work along side the Senior Staff Nurses, to enable the smooth running and efficient patient flow of the patients coming on to the ward. You will be required to support the transition of change and to ensure the adherence to current policy and evidence-based practice. We are looking for a Registered Nurse who is keen to work as a member of a diverse team but is also capable of making choices on their own whilst working as an advocate for our patients. This post will cover days, nights, week days and weekends on a rota basis.
