As an Estate Analyst you will be given the opportunity to develop an array of skills within a Financial Management team working in partnership with clinical services.

Main duties of the job

Deliver an effective and high quality Financial Management service to managers and clinicians. Provide monthly financial management reports as well as support and advice to managers. Undertake various financial analyses and investigate queries. Adhere to relevant financial procedures and guidance.

Education / Qualifications and Relevant Experience

Essential

  • Relevant academic background: CCAB part qualified /AAT Level 4 qualified
  • Significant experience in a relevant finance environment
  • IT literate, including knowledge of spreadsheets, word packages and computerised finance systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of fundamental accounting principles and procedures
  • Ability to plan own workload in order to meet set weekly, monthly and annual deadlines and to reassess workload for changing priorities
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as an effective team member
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and communicate useful financial information from data in accordance with set timetables

Desirable

  • NHS Financial procedures
  • Knowledge of budgeting and planning
