Job summary
Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services are undergoing exciting developments and changes due to significant Investment to support crisis mental health services for young people 24 hours a day across Cornwall.
We are therefore looking for highly experienced mental health nurses that are able to work well under pressure, place high worth in team based working but are also able to work autonomously, who have an unrelenting passion and dedication for working with young people and their families.
It is an exciting time to be joining Cornwall CAMHS with the recent opening of our amazing newly built inpatient unit, Sowenna. Cornwall is leading the way on a ground-breaking Clinical Associate Psychology (CAP) service, the first of its kind anywhere in England and Wales. There has also been major investment in developing care pathways for CAMHS as well as the Crisis Service developments.
Cornwall is a beautiful and fun place to live, with opportunities to enjoy activities on the sea, rivers, beaches and moors. Summers are busy and full of entertainment and winters allow you to have to have peace, quiet and whole beaches to yourself.
The CAMHS Intensive Support team will work across the county and will work with young people up to age 18.
Main duties of the job
The Clinical Lead will provide advice, clinical leadership, caseload management, supervision and training to the teams and will be responsible for ensuring the consistent provision of high quality mental health care to people in community adult mental health settings.
The post holder will work with the senior leadership team to ensure the effective, efficient and sustained development of assessment services. The Clinical Leads will work closely with the Matrons, Team managers, Risk management, Quality Lead and operational leads to achieve high quality innovative care in the adult mental health settings with a focus to embed the principles of reablement and trauma informed care.
The post will be working Monday - Friday 9-5 excluding bank holidays.
