Job summary

Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CFT) is pleased to offer vacancies for student nursing associates within our mental health services across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

This is a developmental role where you will work towards progression into the post of Nursing Associate through successful completion of the Nursing Associate training programme. This includes the attainment of a level 5 Foundation Degree equivalent qualification. You will develop and maintain knowledge, skills and competencies related to the role of Nursing Associate within the service and through completion of the Nursing Associate training programme which includes working in care settings and delivery of person-centred care. On qualifying you will be guaranteed a Band 4 position within our mental health workforce.

If successfully shortlisted there will be a joint interview with the college.

PLEASE NOTE - YOU MUST HAVE THE CERTIFICATES OF EVIDENCE OF YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AS DETAILED IN THE ESSENTIAL CRITERIA WITHIN THE JOB DESCRIPTION

2 year training followed by guaranteed band 4 position and the potential to undertake further training to develop into a Registered Nurse (Mental Health) position

Main duties of the job

Undertake a mix of clinical and theoretical learning in different clinical placement areas to develop the Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours to meet the requirements to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Nursing Associate. On qualification you will be offered a Band 4 Nursing Associate position within our Mental Health services
