Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time vibrant Registered Mental Health Nurse for our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Service, which is based on the Bodmin Hospital site in Cornwall.

Fettle House is an open, inpatient, mixed gender unit supporting people recovering from complex and enduring mental health problems. A community Rehabilitation Team operates alongside the inpatient facility allowing the team to follow through a service specific pathway for our patients as they resume/ establish independent lives outside of the hospital setting.

This position is for a ward-based RN.

The Fettle Rehabilitation team works as part of a wider team that includes carers, families, other specialists e.g. Forensic services, housing, education, pharmacy,

Main duties of the job

We take a person-centred approach in developing individual care plans and goal setting.In addition, the post holder will have a key role supporting and supervising junior team members as well as participating in the continued review and development of the rehabilitation service.Regular individual support and supervision is provided.This is a full-time post with the requirement to be flexible in working shifts across the 24 hour clock including weekends and nights.

  • Professional qualification - RMN
  • To act as a mentor for student university placements. Having the mentoring qualification or being willing to work towards this
