Job summary
The Homeless Vulnerability Liaison Service is being extended to provide a brief intervention service for those presenting with a broad range of vulnerability and complex need relating to their mental and psychological wellbeing. The aim of the service is to offer brief intervention to those experiencing homelessness or within homeless services to improve tenancy sustainment and meaningful referral/engagement into mainstream treatment services.
The service is currently commissioned service through Cornwall Council rough sleeper's initiative.
Main duties of the job
The posy holder may involve assessment, formulation within a psychological framework, advice, clinical support/ supervision/ training and direct therapy services.
The postholder will be responsible for implementing a range of psychological interventions for individuals, carers, families and groups.
The postholder must be able to communicate in a skilled and sensitive manner, highly complex information concerning the assessment, formulation and treatment plans of clients under their care and to monitor progress during the course of both uni-and multi-disciplinary and multi-agency care.
The postholder will also provide advice, consultation and training to staff working with the client group across a range of agencies and settings, where appropriate.
The postholder will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of computerised records including Electronic Patient Health Records and the recording of clinical activity data using the same system.
The postholder will be required to undertake appropriate audit, research and provide research advice to other staff. To also maintain up to date knowledge of legislation, national and local policies and issues in relation to both the specific client group and mental health.
They will carry an autonomous specialist caseload of service users, and provide clinical supervision to Psychologist Colleagues, Assistant Psychologists and Trainee Clinical Psychologists and Psychological Therapists.
