GESH Fit Tester (SGUH)

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Fit Tester to join the Infection Prevention and Control team at St George's Hospital in London.

We are looking for an energetic and motivated individual who genuinely have a desire to work in the speciality of Fit Testing and Infection Prevention and Control. You must be passionate about staff and patient safety, enthusiastic about exploring new ways of working and be a team player.

We are looking for someone with good time management and organisational skills, is computer literate and can demonstrate autonomous working with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Main duties of the job

The key role of the job will be fit testing staff on FFP3 masks to ensure they are wearing the most suitable mask to keep them safe and fulfil Health and Safety Executive (HSE) requirements. Duties include coordinating the trust's fit testing service, managing bookings and maintaining electronic records and testing equipment.

The post holder will also be required to undertake a range of Infection Prevention and Control support activities with clinical staff across the Trust including training and audit.
