Job summary
- To support and deputise for the Ward Sister to ensure the provision of excellent nursing care and the effective management of staff and other resources.
- Also to carry out the day-to-day management and co-ordination of the ward/department.
- To ensure that there are education and training opportunities for all staff, including pre and post registration students and /or providing specialist knowledge.
Main duties of the job

- Belgrave Ward is a very busy general cardiology ward and is part of the newly formed Cardiology Clinical Academic Group to further developments in Cardiology.
- We now have a permanent position for a Junior Sister (band 6) to provide day to day leadership of this busy 24 bedded cardiology ward.
- Belgrave Ward is a dynamic ward that is changing with the increasing demands on the St George's Cardiology service, a regional tertiary centre delivering high quality care.
- You will be expected to work as an excellent role model both for clinical skills and leadership.
- You will be part of multi-disciplinary team working together to provide quality service provision, excellent clinical management and safe and effective discharge processes.
