An Opportunity has arisen for a fit tester to join the IPC team as a fit testing co-ordinator.
The successful candidate must be passionate about safety and have good communication skills and pay attention to details.
We are looking for someone with good time management and problem solving skills. The successful candidate must be computer literate, have good organisation skills and be able to demonstrate autonomous working and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Main duties of the job
Coordinating and delivering a fit testing service across the Trust and travel to community and satellite sites as required. To ensure that staff who are required to wear tight fitting respirators (re-usable or single use) are fit tested as per Health and Safety Executive requirement. Inputting FFP3 face fit tests onto trust-wide databases.
The post holder will be responsible for providing high level of comprehensive support to staff being mask fit tested, including adequacy and suitability of tight fitting masks, training on how to use face masks, hoods and other reusable respirators and guidance on correct handling and storage of PPE. Managing fittesting databases and fit tester training.
