Job summary
The Compliance Manager will support the Deputy Head of Estates (Compliance) and Operational Estates Managers in ensuring statutory, regulatory, NHS, and internal compliance across St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. They will assist in the safe and efficient operation of all Building Services Engineering systems, ensuring cost-effective and reliable service delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting estates managers in maintaining compliance with health and safety policies, statutory legislation, and NHS guidance.
- Assisting in the implementation of control systems for monitoring plant and equipment performance.
- Collaborating with clinical teams to identify compliance risks and priorities for audits.
- Liaising with the contracting team on technical information and equipment standardization.
- Preparing reports on plant status, energy efficiency, and financial matters.
- Participating in the internal inspection team and acting as an authorised person subject to training.
- Supporting training and development initiatives within the estates team.
- Deputising for the Deputy Head of Estates - Compliance when required.
- Participating in the out-of-hours emergency call-out schedule.
This role ensures compliance systems are in place, risks are managed, and estates operations align with regulatory requirements.
