Job summary
The Transport Assessment and Booking Facilitator will be responsible for managing the patient transport assessment and booking process within a healthcare setting. This role acts as the first point of contact for the Transport Assessment and Booking Service, ensuring that patients receive the appropriate level of service for their transport needs.

Main duties of the job
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Transport Assessment and Booking Facilitator.
Key responsibilities include assessing patients' eligibility for hospital non-emergency patient transport, coordinating transport arrangements for eligible patients, and communicating alternative transport options for those who do not meet the criteria. The facilitator will also maintain and manage the transport assessment database and booking system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
Additionally, the role involves liaising with transport contractors to coordinate and ensure the smooth operation of transport services. The facilitator will also be required to provide data and run reports for audit purposes, supporting the continuous improvement of services and adherence to operational standards.
This position is integral to ensuring timely and efficient transport arrangements for patients, facilitating smooth hospital operations, and delivering high-quality patient care.
