This is a Fixed term post, that provides an opportunity for an enthusiastic physician to provide respiratory services at St George's Hospital. The successful candidate will join a group of 13 other consultants affiliated to the respiratory department at St George's.
We are one of the major teaching hospitals in London with a busy secondary and tertiary service for respiratory diseases. The Trust offers a large number of specialised tertiary services (including thoracic surgery), as well as providing local acute services.

Main duties of the job
To provide a clinical service in respiratory medicine as part of a team of respiratory specialists.
To participate in clinical and other service activities with the objective of ensuring a high standard of patient care; including general respiratory, sleep and cancer clinics
To lead the delivery of the lung cancer screening programme review meetings at St George's and work within the lung cancer team.
To participate in the delivery of the regional EBUS service.
To contribute to service developments
To take an active part in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training. Depending on the skills of the candidate, this could involve managing the respiratory clinical placements and other medical student clinical experience as well as the teaching program for the respiratory doctors.
To contribute to the management of the service.

- An appropriate higher degree (MD, PhD or equivalent)
- Advanced Life Support Certificate
