We have full time opportunities for Registered Nurses to join us in the Acute Medical Division on the Rodney Smith - a 28 bedded ward caring for medical patients with a focus on diabetes care.

Main duties of the job

  • Plan the delivery of patient care and take responsibility for implementing and evaluating the care provided.
  • Use of available electronic systems to provide care and safety for our patients.
  • To provide advice and education to patients, staff and learners within the directorate as required.
  • Be able to prioritise their own workload and of those working with them such as learners and Healthcare Assistants
  • To develop communication networks across specialities and throughout the multidisciplinary team. -
  • Fostering a mentoring environment in line with our teaching hospital.
  • Carry out nursing care to the highest possible standard according to Trust Policies and and Clinical Guidelines.
  • To administer patient medication according to Trust Policy, this includes the administrationof intravenous medication.
