Overall: We are looking for an enthusiastic Medical Secretary to provide secretarial and administrative support for our Neurology and Stroke Consultants in the busy and friendly Neurosciences department.
The post-holder must be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate well with all levels of staff and as well as patients and their careers. You will be a part of the administrative team within the department, as such; the post holder will be expected to work as part of this team, and to provide cover for other members of the team when necessary.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an enthusiastic Medical Secretary to provide secretarial and administrative support for our Neurology and Stroke Consultants in the busy and friendly Neurosciences department. This is an exciting time to join the nationally renowned St Georges University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. You will need to be able to work well under pressure and cope with conflicting demands. You will possess excellent organisational, communication and IT skills. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint is essential. Good accurate typing and a proven track record of secretarial experience will be necessary. The job is varied and will include typing clinic letters, answering telephone enquiries, keeping diaries, booking meetings and taking minutes, etc. We are looking for a true team player with the necessary skills to provide a high standard of secretarial support to this busy, high profile department.
