Clinical Fellow (CT1/2 equivalent)
Acute and General Medicine
- To be responsible, with others, for the delivery of EBUS for the SW London population across the SGH and Royal Marsden Hospital (RMH) Sites
- To contribute to the delivery of the Lung Cancer Screening Programme in West London at the SGH site
- To take an active part in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training. There are opportunities to develop including PGCERT whilst in this post
- Opportunity to work in the pleural service across GESH and RMH sites
Main duties of the job
- Support Specialist Thoracic Oncology Service (Outpatient clinics & In-patient advice), including support for the 'Targeted Lung Health Check' programme
- To join bronchoscopy/EBUS lists.
- To participate in clinical teaching of the Department, both undergraduate and postgraduate
- To develop clinical research projects
- The clinical fellow will receive specialist in thoracic oncology and EBUS, with the opportunity for further training in specialist pleural procedures.
- There will be the opportunity to do quality improvement work on patient pathways and patient experience for the regional EBUS service and lung cancer screening
- There are opportunities to gain educational experience and qualifications as a subsidized PGCert whilst in this post.
- There are opportunities to join research projects across respiratory and thoracic oncology medicine with support from the SGH research programme.
